Caldwell Zoo Summer Day Camps

These summer camps are age-appropriate ed-ventures filled with lots of Zoo fun.  Activities include animal information, time on zoo grounds, art activities, stories, games, songs and close encounters with touchable small animals.  A morning snack and drink will be furnished.

All camps require advance registration and payment.  Registrations cannot be accepted by phone.

½-day camps (9:00 a.m.-noon)

                        ZooMembers:  $70

                        Non-members:  $85

full day camps (9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.)

                        ZooMembers:  $110

                        Non-members:  $135

 

4 & 5 year olds

Under the Story Tree  Join us for some zoo-rific animal tales.

We’ve Got Class  Take an up-close look at the classes of animals

Myths and Legends  Explore the world of animal myths.

Predators!  Check out the carnivores.

Zooper Heroes  Meet Caldwell Zoo’s record setters.

12-16 year olds

Yes, We Can!  Make a difference, that is.  We’ll look at what’s going on with endangered species around the world. 

            June 9-13                  9:00 a.m.-noon

Whatcha Doin’?  Did you know animals play?  Join us as we look at animal behavior.

            July 28-August 1      9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.***

 

            ***Campers need to bring a sack lunch each day.

 

Zoo-niversity Camp

This three-day, two-night camp is for teens entering the ninth through twelfth grades.  Zoo-niversity is an opportunity to work alongside the zoo’s professional zookeeping staff.  This camp will convince you that dirty jobs really can be the most fun.  Register early as we can only accept a few campers for our Zoo-niversity.

            June 30-July 2         8:30 a.m. Monday – 4:00 p.m. Wednesday

ZooMembers:$200

Non-members: $250
