CALDWELL ZOO IS TOADILY FROGS!

2008 is the Year of the Frog.

Caldwell Zoo is going "Toadily Frogs!"  

Opening February 29th in the North America Reptile Building, our newest exhibit includes a wall of jewel boxes highlighting some very unique frog species from around the world--a frog that looks like a leaf, poison dart frogs and even red-eyed tree frogs like our little guy in the photo.

It's a Bouncing Baby Boy!

Caldwell Zoo welcomes Phineus, a male black rhinoceros.  The youngster was born September 27, 2007, to Christa and Cornelius.  This is Christa's fourth Caldwell Zoo

baby and Cornelius' second.

Another Baby Boy!

          On December 17, 2007, Caldwell Zoo welcomed

          a new baby kudu.  Frosty will be in the 

African Hoofstock Barn bonding with his mom

until he gets a just a little bigger .

White Tigers will stay at Caldwell Zoo!

Brother and sister, Meka (female with almost no stripes)

and WillieKing (male) have come from the Alexandria Zoo, but thanks to a permanent loan agreement, the two tigers will be able to remain at Caldwell Zoo.

The youngsters were born April 26, 2006.

                  Wild Bird Walkabout                  

Be sure to visit the Wild Bird Walkabout! This aviary is the home to a large flock of colorful parakeets and cockatiels. Guests have the opportunity to feed our feathered friends sticks of millet.
