Welcome groups! We are happy to accommodate groups of 40 or smaller for a room rental located on our newly renovated African Overlook. This room rental can be somewhat customized but includes tables, chairs, a projector and screen, laptop computer and podium with sound system for your convenience.

What does the room rental include?
The room rental includes our indoor air conditioned room for 1 hour and:
- Up to 5 round tables
- Up to 40 chairs
- Projector and Screen
- Laptop and Podium with wifi connection
- Sound System
- Great view overlooking giraffes, elephants, zebras, and other African animals!
What is the price?
Our base price is $150 per hour for all of the items included above!
- This room rate does not include food. External food and drink is not allowed. Also the Chakula Café is conveniently located right next door, so your group is welcome to purchase food from the café to bring over.
When the reservation process opens, you you will be able to request add ons such as such as:
- Additional time by the hour ($150/hour additional)

Group tickets can be purchased separately at a discounted rate as long as there are over 15 members in your party. The maximum capacity for the room rental is 40 people.
PLEASE NOTE: Room rental requests should be made at least one month prior to the date of requested reservation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Please park in our main entrance for your event. Please keep in mind, all individuals must have a ticket to enter the zoo. The room is located in the Africa section of our zoo, right across from the giraffe feeding deck and seating area (see map below). The room will be opened 10 minutes before your reservation time and everyone must leave the room within 10 minutes after your reservation time ends or a $10 fee can be applied every 10 minutes.
If you are planning to host an event that needs decorations, please let us know and we can accommodate with table cloths and centerpieces. Many decorations can be harmful for our animals and for the environment, so we ask that you please do not bring any decorations with you to our room. Also again for the safety of our animals, please no external food or drink.
No, a staff member will open the room, but it will be left unattended.
You may cancel at any time. Room Reservation fees are non-refundable, however the program can be rescheduled when possible (as long as the request is made two weeks in advance of date of party reservation).
