Get up close and personal with some magnificent icons of the American wilderness. We are proud to announce our brand new big, bold Black Bear Encounter.
Come meet Timber and Tyler, our resident black bears, in a special, behind-the-scenes experience that’s certain to make an impression. You’ll learn all about these fascinating animals and what it takes to care for these magnificent, gentle giants. You may even have a chance to feed the bears one of their favorite treats.
Fall has arrived and you know what bears want to do when the weather starts to cool.
Yes, bears start planning for winter and settling down. Timber and Tyler, the stars of the Bear Encounter, are following the rhythm of nature and getting a little lazy. So, it’s best to let them settle down for the winter. We’ll reopen the Bear Encounter in the spring when our big, furry friends have a bit more spring in their step. The bears will still be in their habitat. So, you can still come by and say “hi.”
