- Room or tables are reserved for 1.5 hours. Access to space is available 15 minutes before the party and closes 15 minutes after the party.
- Party room and outdoor space are located on the African Overlook. A wagon will be provide at the front office to transport presents and cake to your party location.
- Party Package reservations are not secured until payment is made in full.

Frequently Asked Questions
Outdoor parties have simple tabletop decorations and a covered cake table. Indoor parties have larger centerpieces and tables for the cake and gifts. Decorations are jungle themed. You are welcome to bring in additional decorations to enhance or replace our décor, as long as they follow the Zoo’s contract. Balloons are not allowed in the Zoo. Outdoor decorations must be secured so they don’t blow over into the animal enclosures.
You’re allowed to bring drinks for your party and cupcakes/cakes/cookies and other celebration sweets. Other outside food, however, is not allowed in the zoo. If you would like to have food such as chicken nugget trays, pizza, or lemonade you can add to your package from our café party options. Café items for parties must be ordered in advance through the party coordinator or when you book your event.
Each party package has a specific number of included all-day admission tickets to the Zoo. Some people send a list of which guests who receive the tickets, other hosts use the tickets for the children attending and have parents pay for themselves. Some families pay for all their guests. It’s totally up to you! We’ll just need to know in advance how you’d like to handle ticket distribution.
Every guest will need an admission ticket, but children under 3 and Caldwell Zoo members receive free admission and won’t be included in your ticket count. Any extra tickets needed can be purchased at the discount rate of $15.00.
Reservations can be canceled without penalty up to 48 hours before the start of your party. If you’ve booked an outdoor party and the weather turns nasty, we have options to move your event to a covered space and add heat if necessary. Lots of animals here love the rain and cold, so bundle up, bring an umbrella, and come splash around like the elephants!
Reservations for the party are good for an hour and a half. You may access the party spaces 30 minutes early. Due to multiple parties within the same day, we cannot add additional times to your parties unless you rent the morning and afternoon event slots.
Outdoor parties have 30 fixed seats, so extra guests won’t be guaranteed any seating. Indoor parties are able to expand to 35 with advance notice, and extra guests are allowed without seating. For larger parties, we suggest renting both outdoor party spaces together for a total of 60 seats and 30 included admission passes.
